Darrius Strong

Darrius is a Twin Cities based choreographer, dancer, teacher whose creative work has been chosen for the Walker Art Center Choreographer’s Evening, Rhythmically Speaking, The American College Dance Festival, and was featured in the New Griots Festival at the Phoenix theater, Minneapolis. Darrius graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BFA in Dance in 2015 and has created works for Threads Dance Projects, St. Olaf College, TU dance students, and shared Ipseity, an evening-length work. Darrius started working with BLM in 2015. He teaches dance at St. Paul Conservatory Performing Arts and Eleve Performance Arts Center. Darrius is interested in working with movers of all experience levels in hopes of developing a broader supportive community. He created his own dance company, STRONGmovement.
